
A financial institution receives data files daily from a critical partner. In order to comply with their internal Data Governance policies, they need to identify and catalog any PII (privacy data) which is being received in the file. Metadata of the file received is sometimes challenged.
The receiver of the data in the financial institution is not confident of their classification. The file and its contents are passed through our algorithm which can uniquely identify and classify the PII data being received. This information is then passed to the internal data governance tool and catalog which can be used to further protect and restrict access to this sensitive information.

Healthcare providers often need data models to help them understand rare conditions. However, because of the rarity of some diseases, it's often a challenge to create accurate data profiles since there isn't enough information available.
DataCloak worked with a healthcare institution in need of models that would help them make important decisions about treatment strategies. They had access to labelled data which they were free to use for analytics modelling, but unfortunately, the quantity was insufficient to provide meaningful modelling based on traditional techniques. They were having a hard time getting any accurate or high performing models.
DataCloak deployed two approaches that enabled this healthcare institution to get the workable data models they needed. First, we used a novel algorithm to recreate a much larger sample set which gave similar or better results to more traditional methods. This innovative augmentation strategy was successful in getting results that were accurate and reliable. Second, we were able to generate a completely new set of data which was used for training and modelling.
In the end, using these out of the box approaches, we were able to improve the quality of testing and training by quickly providing data while respecting compliance and privacy.
